SteelStax Important Part of Bethlehem's Transformation

As this country continues to grow, it becomes more and more apparent how incredibly diverse it has become. By joining Bethlehem Opera Theatre, Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Hispanic American League of Artists, Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School Academy of Video and Media Arts and Pennsylvania Sinfonia Orchestra with PBS 39 and ArtsQuest, SteelStax will provide the community with a shared, programming-rich venue right in their own backyard. On any given night, it may be possible to enjoy live theater, opera, art cinema, Latin dance lessons or great, live music.

Richard Florida, the author of The Flight of the Creative Class, is recognized as the new voice for urban revitalization. According to Florida, university towns have the most potential for helping to revitalize an area. With two colleges at each end of Bethlehem, and the pending development of the former Steel property, the future of this city of 70,000 looks extremely promising.
